Project Snapshot

Together For Tech Lives is a campaign led by the All India Professionals’ Congress focused on the experiences of India’s technology workforce amid layoffs, automation, and changing employment conditions. The website was designed to bring together the campaign’s purpose, worker stories, listening initiatives, key demands, and opportunities to participate in one accessible digital platform.

Core Challenge & Goals

The main challenge was to design a new Shopify jewellery store that immediately feels premium and trustworthy, while handling a wide and growing catalogue across men’s, women’s, bridal, and rental collections without overwhelming first‑time visitors.

Key objectives:

  • Make the campaign’s purpose immediately understandable to first-time visitors.

  • Give real experiences from technology professionals a central role in the narrative.

  • Turn a broad workforce issue into clear themes, demands, and actions.

  • Create accessible pathways for professionals to speak up and participate.

  • Balance campaign information with a human and approachable digital experience.

  • Create a flexible platform for future stories, events, initiatives, and campaign updates.

Put people at the centre of the conversation.

Insight & Opportunity

The campaign was not simply communicating a position on technology employment. Its website was bringing together people with different experiences of layoffs, career uncertainty, workplace change, and the future of work. The opportunity was to make those individual experiences visible while connecting them to the larger conversation around the technology workforce.

Individual stories create context

The site features first-person accounts from early-, mid-, and late-career technology professionals, giving the broader issue a human dimension.

A complex issue needs structure

The campaign covers layoffs, AI and automation, workplace dignity, stability, and workforce policy. Clear content hierarchy was therefore essential to make the subject accessible.

Participation needs a clear path

Listening Circles, the Tech Workforce Dignity Charter, and online/offline engagement form the campaign’s broader participation model.

[ From Stories to Collective Dialogue ]

The experience connects individual voices with the larger workforce conversation.

Strategy & Approach

The website was structured as a narrative journey: introduce the issue, establish why it matters, bring forward lived experiences, explain how the campaign works, and provide ways to engage.

Lead with the human story

Rather than beginning with institutional information, the experience gives technology professionals and their experiences a prominent place within the narrative.

Turn complexity into a narrative

The campaign’s ideas are divided into clear sections covering its purpose, approach, key demands, stories, people involved, and what the movement represents.

Create space for participation

The website connects visitors to the campaign through its “Speak Up” pathway, Listening Circles, social channels, and contact information, turning the site into an ongoing point of engagement rather than a static campaign page.

Outcome

The final website creates a structured digital home for Together For Tech Lives, bringing campaign information, professional stories, participation pathways, and ongoing initiatives into one experience designed to make a complex workforce conversation easier to understand and engage with.

Experience Goals

  • Help visitors understand the campaign within the first moments of entering the site.

  • Give individual technology professionals a visible and meaningful voice.

  • Make complex workforce themes easier to explore through clear content hierarchy.

  • Connect awareness with meaningful opportunities for participation.

  • Create an experience that feels human without losing institutional credibility.

  • Build a content structure capable of evolving with the campaign.

key learnings

A campaign website is not only a place to communicate an organisation’s message. When the subject is deeply connected to people’s lives and experiences, the website also becomes a space for listening. For Together For Tech Lives, that meant giving individual voices enough prominence to stand on their own while providing the structure needed to connect those experiences to a wider conversation about the future of work. The design challenge was therefore less about presenting more information and more about deciding whose voice should be heard, when it should be heard, and how the visitor should move from listening to understanding. When the subject is people, the experience should give the people the story.
